Coach Amber

Getting to Know Me

As your coach (or soon to be coach) it’s important that you get to know me and can connect with me so you feel comfortable in working with someone that will help guide you through nutrition and lifestyle changes. So, I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself.

Past

I guess you could say that health and fitness has always been a passion of mine. Having grown up with active parents, both being body builders and my Mother also an aerobics instructor. I loved to hang around the gym, lift some weights and take some classes. After a childhood of dance, I was off to explore adulthood and what other forms of health and fitness resonated with me. I became extremely active in yoga and completed a diploma program with the Canadian College of Natural Nutrition. My passion for a healthy lifestyle lead me to take a fitness leadership course though Humber College and then complete Precision Nutrition Level 1 program.

Present

This leads me to the present day. I am active in Crossfit and strength training. I coach Crossfit classes as a passion and have gone on to build this business to help people achieve their nutrition and lifestyle goals. I continue to want to further myself in knowledge and experience so you can find me reading a book or learning something new all the time.

Future

I’m very passionate about helping people who don’t know where to begin, are overwhelmed with all that this industry has to offer or need accountability and support. I’m on a mission to make sure that everyone knows, no matter what level you are at, you can do this. One habit at a time to the life you want and the way you want to feel.

Fun Tidbits

  • I met my husband at our Crossfit gym
  • We have several fur babies, all of which are cats
  • My Mother, my husband and I all workout together at the same Crossfit gym
  • I live in Canada but am pretty sure I have island blood in my veins as I’m not a fan of winter
  • I love to try new things and am always willing to try something at least once
  • We meal prep every weekend and are always testing out new recipes to find healthy alternatives to some of our favourite and traditional meals
  • I have a nutrition coach that I check in with weekly. As the saying goes "coaches need to be coached, therapists need to be therapied" well thats not exactly the saying but you get the idea
